Visit to The Mount

Today I went with a couple of friends to Lenox MA to visit The Mount, the home of Edith Wharton (1862-1937), which is in the process of extensive restoration.

The Mount was built in 1901-1902 in accordance with Edith Wharton's own design. (She was assisted by architects Ogden Codman, Jr. and Francis L.V. Hoppin.) Wharton lived in the house until 1911.
